Child neglect by the poor is well known. Child neglect by the rich is also well know socially, although not so documented by the government. One of the most effective ways for the rich to place them in boarding schools, called “private schools” in the U.S. With their children in these schools, the rich can move freely move while other people raise their children.
While the effects on the children are severe, the children are repeatedly told that such arrangements are “good” for them. Some even come to believe this, and eventually force their own children into these schools.
It’s high time, after centuries, that this practice of institutionalized cruelty ended. Boarding schools are the foster homes of the rich.
